The Wasserschloss, a small castle built out onto the water between two canals, is one of the oldest buildings in the Speicherstadt and originally served as an inn for men working on the merchandise hoists of the warehouses at the port. Particularly popular with photographers is the view from the Poggenühlenbrücke, where you can take views of the castle framed by the bridge. The Wasserschloss is illuminated at night. If you take along a tripod you can get a wonderful shot of the lights reflected in the water. The castle has often been used as a setting for films and TV series.
